1. News Print Media- An informational article about First Book.

2.Localized print media- an informational article about First Book and local events partnered with First Book.

3. Release/Plan for social Media-A Facebook Page with all the information and updated event dates.

4. Broadcast Release- a video for promotional usage. It would be viewable on youtube as well as the FB page.

5. News Advisory-Inform Libraries and schools about an upcoming event. Interview educational leaders about first boo.

10. Feature Story- a feature story about a child who has received a book through First Book and it impacted their life.

12. Promo Materials- an event giving out books. The materials used for this would be advertisement through social media, volunteers needed for the events, and donations.

First Book-Step One

First Book is a non profit organization which provides books and educational materials  to children of low-income families. Their mission is to end illiteracy across the U.S and Canada and provide books for as many children as possible. They are affiliated with Target, Walmart, Disney Publishing, United Way, Cheerios, Feeding America, and USO.Their  partners in Ending Illiteracy represent some of the smartest, most generous organizations and companies across the for-profit and nonprofit. These partnerships help First Book reach millions of children who can now experience the joy of reading and owning new books. Their partners are making it possible for them to lead the way in providing new digital content as well, so that the children we serve will be able to access reading as new technology unfolds.To date, First Book has distributed more than 85 million books and educational resources to programs and schools serving children from low-income families throughout the United States and Canada. 99.2 percent of programs that receive books from First Book are able to increase their literacy efforts and offer new curriculum activities, including parent engagement programs.
